Temporary Legal Support Assistant I/II - County Counsel


 

The County of Riverside Temporary Assignment Program (TAP) is seeking to fill a Temporary Legal Support Assistant I/II to support the County Counsel Department.
The incumbent will be responsible for opening, maintaining, and closing files (physical files and ProLaw matters); preparing Judicial Council forms and pleadings; preparing orders; e-file documents with the court; calendar hearings in ProLaw; pulling/preparing/distributing calendars to attorneys; pulling files for attorneys; monitor noticing; answer/screen phone calls; proofread and edit legal documents; exchange confidential information with client and maintain confidential information in files; handle phone calls from Judges’ chambers, Court Clerks and DPSS Court Services; deliver documents to/pick up documents from courtroom clerks; pick up, open, and distribute daily mail; scan mail and documents into ProLaw matters.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess at least two years of working experience in a legal office, or child welfare/dependency matters.
